Tech Data Canada (Nasdaq: TECD) made the biggest splash by attaining ISO 9001:2008 certification for its 2,500 sq.-ft. integration centre in Richmond, B.C. making them the only IT distributor to have two ISO certified integration centres in Canada. The other one being in Mississauga, Ont. Sukh Randhawa, vice president, business operations for Tech Data Canada, said this registration reinforces Tech Data’s commitment to quality across the country. Between Richmond and MississaugaLocations the team consists of more than 20 vendor-certified technicians who hold over 30 industry-recognized certifications.
The ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System consists of documented processes and procedures with the objective of achieving customer satisfaction through an incessant focus on quality and the needs of the customer. The ISO 9001:2008 registration allows us to provide professional, high-quality configured technological products to our customers by eliminating non-conformity at all stages of the process and complying with and improving the Quality System.The company’s aim, according to Richard Toledo, manager, technology services for Tech Data Canada, is to consistently provide the highest quality configurations to our customers and give them the competitive edge they need to succeed.
The ISO 9001:2008 Certification Audit required Tech Data to review, improve and manage the processes necessary for the continual improvement of its quality management system.

Lifeboat Distribution, one of Corel’s best distributors, is bringing on Datawatch Corp., an analytics software vendor, to its line card.
Lifeboat will be the only distributor for Datawatch in North America.
