According to the Mississauga, Ont.-based distributor, these products will be supported by the Tech Data Canada Software Business Unit. Through the McAfee PartnerFocus program, solution providers can offer SaaS email, Web, and endpoint security. These solutions are available through McAfee cloud services.
The PartnerFocus program will also allow for increased entanglement with small to medium businesses in Canada and offer enterprise grade security with no maintenance or major capital outlays.
Manal Guirguis, director of product management at Tech Data Canada, said with the increased demand for cloud based security solutions, McAfee’s SaaS products on a monthly subscription model provide an excellent opportunity for recurring revenue through the cloud.
Fernando Quintero, vice president of channel sales for McAfee, part of Intel Security, added that the program enables resellers to leverage the expertise of Tech Data’s Software Business Unit and generate increased monthly revenue by offering McAfee Software-as-a-Service email, web, and endpoint security solutions to their end customers.
Tech Data Canada’s Software Business Unit is made up of licensing program experts, product sales champions, product managers and license administrators.

- My License Tracker – a search tool that archives Licensing Confirmations on techdata.ca for 24×7 self-serve access.
- Software License Selector – Tech Data’s tool which helps resellers find the right license through an on-line concierge prompting them with simple questions to narrow the search in four easy steps.
- Advanced Technology Solutions Center (ATSC) – Tech Data’s one-of-a-kind demonstration and training facility available for demonstrations, training and proof of concepts.
