Tech Data Canada gets a Spark from Cisco

Tech Data Canada is adding Cisco Spark to its Cloud Solutions Store.

The new offering will give solution providers enhanced cloud based business instant, secure collaboration services. Spark has all the feature-rich communication tools required to message, meet and call on any device.

The Mississauga, Ont.-based distributor believes channel partners can now sell Cisco’s Collaboration Cloud experience and gain a competitive advantage while optimizing profitability since Spark has a broad appeal from small business up to enterprise-level customers.

Cisco Spark enables video endpoint attachment providing solution providers with a recurring revenue stream.

There are three main capabilities of Cisco Spark:

Message is central to the Cisco Spark service as it provides for desktop and mobile devices across all operating systems. Teams can send messages, share files, and integrate with the other tools and business processes they require.

Cisco Spark meetings allows users to connect with their teams in real-time. Users can join a meeting either within the app itself or by using WebEx-powered meetings. Because Spark meetings are integrated with the Spark app, there are added benefits of before, during and after meeting messaging and content sharing.

For call capabilities, users in Canada have the option of integrating Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Business Edition or Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution with Cisco Spark message and meeting for a complete service using Cisco Spark Hybrid Services.

Solution providers can also look to Cisco Spark Room Systems to enable customers to integrate video room-based systems to the Cisco Spark cloud. The Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store is a one-stop shop for solution providers and managed service providers seeking to administer and control the entire cloud services delivery process in an app store-like environment.

Spark also provides an initial assessment and quoting tool for provisioning and ongoing management of IaaS and SaaS.
