Tidd said in a LinkedIn post that he is excited about leading Polycom’s worldwide channel partner programs, strategy, enablement, and operations.

“I will work closely with all Polycom constituents to develop, architect, and lead the channel strategy and create a plan to take the company to the next level. While I plan on being highly visible in the channel as Polycom’s ambassador, I welcome and encourage you to reach out to me,” he said.

Tidd left Condusiv, in formerly known as Diskeeper, in June of 2015. Tidd held the position of vice president of global sales for Condusiv, which is based in Burbank, Calif. Condusiv’s flagship software, is a defragmentation solution that was originally marketed as Diskeeper. The company has recently expanded its portfolio into technology for virtual machines. It also developed a file-system driver for Windows called IntelliWrite.

Prior to Condusiv Tidd was the President D-Link North America. Tidd also held senior leadership roles at US Robotics and was the worldwide channel chief at 3Com.

Tidd has been recognized and been awarded many accolades by the IT industry and channel community in Canada and the U.S. several times include being named a CDN Top Newsmaker. Tidd was also named one of CDN’s 20 Builders and Visionarys in the Canadian channel.

Tidd arrives at Polycom as the company’s voice desktop and conferencing solutions becomes one of the first to support and interoperate with the Microsoft Office 365 Cloud PBX services. The strategy behind this move is for Polycom to provide those migrating to Office 365 a better option over traditional PBX lines. The Polycom solution works to address the needs of new Office 365 Cloud PBX service customers on the desktop and in the conference room.
