Top 10 Green Solution Providers: Sudden Service Technology

Sometimes the business case for reducing e-waste is only the jumping off point of a green technology strategy. Sudden Service Technology (SST) of Vancouver has been building a case for server consolidation and thin clients to reduce costs and energy demands for healthcare organizations on the West Coast, but says the savings from technology are just the beginning.

The company recently won one of the largest contracts in Vancouver for healthcare, demonstrating the green benefits of server consolidation and virtualization to two regional health authorities. It’s currently working to expand its business into the four remaining health authorities.

Building the business case requires knowledge, and to help further educate the community, SST has launched a series of seminars to illustrate what technologies options exist to achieve an enterprise’s environmental goals.

SST further works with BC Hydro to help its clients to meet the energy provider’s Power Smart program, which looks at how organizations have reduced their power consumption and provides rebates.
