Top 100 solution provider changes its name

CDN Top 100 Solution Provider Unity Telecom of Newmarket, Ont. has rebranded itself as Unity Connected Solutions.

Unity was founded about a decade ago by ICT pioneer Dave Sherry. Sherry passed away in 2012 and his wife Erin, a 2013 CDN Women of the Channel honouree took over as CEO. Back in 2004, the company focused on telephony and over the years the business expanded and today delivers a host of IT solutions to the marketplace such as unified communications, data networks, video collaboration and professional services.

The company today is a full service communications expert that can offer consulting, design, implementation and support for best of breed business communications solutions. The company also expanded into the U.S. and was recently named Avaya’s Customer Experience Partner of the Year Award for 2013, as well as its Service Partner of the Year for 2013.

According to the company, its original name no longer reflected the company. But the company, which came in at No. 46 on the CDN Top 100 list with revenues of $30 to $40 million, isn’t calling this name change another makeover and has also launched new Web site, www.unityconnected.com.
