Toronto company offers channel a turnkey cloud

Toronto-based cloud backup developer KineticD Inc. has introduced a channel enablement program targeted at solution providers who are looking to develop new revenue streams through online backup offerings.

The KineticD channel program is offering solution providers a turnkey microsite that allows them to market cloud backup and data recovery services to their customer base immediately after signing up with KineticD’s partner program.

After sign up, KineticD provides data backup and recovery services for data protection for PCs, Macs, servers and databases. KineticD’s solutions automates administrative tasks by simplifying management of backup software and schedules across all systems and business locations. The KineticD’s microsite enables solution providers to market these services to customers without having to design or host a Web site for it. According to the company, KineticD has more than 1,000 resellers to date. One of them, Chris Engler of Engler IT of Crofton, Md., said customers are asking for help with cloud backup and data recovery services. Now, with KineticD’s microsite, we have an amazing resource that works as an information centre while doubling as a dedicated landing page that makes customer sign-ups easy and seamless.

The KineticD channel program requires no minimum commitment or upfront investments and provides a minimum 20 per cent margin.

The branded microsite includes: A dedicated link that can integrate into the reseller’s Web site, access to sales tools, including marketing information, a secure sign up portal, a dedicated subdomain, safe checkout process that is SSL-certified and McAfee secured, and the microsite is fully hosted by KineticD and is a free service to participating solution providers.
