Back in July, we explored the growth in Canadian channel revenue from the first five months of 2020, which according to NPD Group, kept pace with the same period from the last few years thanks to strong performances in concentrated segments.
Software continues to provide good news for channel sales in Canada. Unlike other categories that we’ve looked at so far, software revenues actually increased in the first five months of 2020 versus the same period in 2019. It was minimal growth, but growth nonetheless. Nearly all of today’s security solutions are software-centric. And while security hardware is a much, much smaller category, it remains an important member of the channel sales family.
