Video: Latest Lenovo ultraportable hits Canada

The latest Lenovo ThinkPad may look like a netbook, but it is anything but.

The new ThinkPad X100e is the company’s first professional-grade ultraportable notebook with an AMD chip in it. Lenovo and AMD have collaborated on this product which features the Athlon NEO processor, under the Vision Pro brand.

Based on Vision Pro technology, the X100e delivers models starting under three pounds for wireless connectivity on the go. The laptop comes with 802.11n WiFi and optional Bluetooth and 3G.

Lenovo wants to create a new notebook category with the X100e: one that blends professional performance, usability and design at a low price.

The X100e starts at under $500.

In this video, Lenovo Canada’s Chet Joshi outlines the channel strategy for the X100e along with why the company is offering a new kind of keyboard.
