Video: Sneak-peek of LG’s new IQ smartphone

LG Electronics Canada Inc. used a recent blogger event in Toronto to preview the IQ, the new smartphone the vendor will be launching later this year, exclusively on the Telus Mobility network.

Formerly codenamed the LG Monaco during development, the IQ features a Snapdragon processor and runs Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. It’s a touchscreen device with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and boasts a 2.3” WVGA display, as well as a 5MP camera.

LG has yet to announce a firm Canadian release date for the IQ, but says the phone will be launched before the end of the year, and in time for the holiday shopping season.

In this CDN video, David Sells, national sales manager, mobile communications for LG Electronics Canada, puts the IQ through its paces.
