Following up on its Sony Xperia Z smartphone, which our colleagues at tested and found to be both waterproof and beer proof, Sony is bringing a follow-up device to Canada: the Sony Xperia Z1.

Coming to Canadian carriers soon

According to Sony, the Z1, its premium waterproof smartphone model, will be available through Bell, Rogers and Telus in mid-October. It’s a 5” Android model powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with a 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU and 4G LTE. It will run Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).

Steady now, steady
