TORONTO – The 2015 Channel Elite Awards winner for Best Enterprise Solution Sela Canada took a unique route to victory, but the same can be said for the runners up.
Winning the silver award was WBM Office Systems, a Saskatoon-based company which developed the Next Generation Desktop Project, a Lifecycle Management Solution for the Government of Saskatchewan. This involved refreshing a whopping 6,800 end-of-life devices located across 500 different sites with new hardware. On top of that the company needed to update approximately 1,100 applications as well.
JoAnne Hardy and Brett Bailey accepted this award on behalf of of WBM and they were on hand to be interviewed by CDN. Click on the video to see what they had to say.
IT Weapons, a previous Solution Provider of the Year winner, started its project initially as a disaster recovery effort for a 100 year old Winnipeg-based agribusiness with 2,000 users, but it turned into a complete overhaul of it’s entire infrastructure. This story is a typical business transformation to the cloud tale of a mature business. By going to the cloud, the company consolidated more than 60 different networks and all of their applications became centralized.
