Hired, an IT-focused recruitment platform, launches in Canada

Have you heard of Hired?  The company, which aims to connect tech employers with talent launched this month in Canada.

After a four-month beta in Canada, Hired claims it saw more than 250 companies and nearly 12,000 individuals sign up in its marketplace, which makes more than twice the number of candidates than two previous US market launches.  It’s a trend that the company attributes to the current IT skills shortage.

Companies that are represented on the online platform include Influitive, Shopify, WealthSimple, Wave, Event Mobi, Joist and Kik, while jobs featured included software engineers, data scientists, product managers and UX/UI designers.

Hired says that, as part of its services, it vets applicants before sending them off to potential employers to speed up the hiring process.

Services are now available in the Toronto, Ottawa and the Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo metro areas, with Vancouver and Montreal to follow.
