Red Hat Canada leader outlines 2016 alliance strategy

It all started with an  important strategic alliance with Cisco. Red Hat would support UCS Open Stack solution and Intercloud. That was announced late in 2014 just before the new year. From there Red Hat made 2015 their year for alliances with several announcements highlighted by the Red Hat and Microsoft partnership that will see Red Hat solutions available on Microsoft Azure as well as colocation of support personnel, a first for both companies.

Red Hat Canada president Luc Villeneuve dropped by the CDN Studios to talk about how the Canadian subsidiary plans to further all these alliances. Besides Cisco and Microsoft, Red Hat has forged alliances with Tata Consulting Services, Wipro, Dell, SAP, Lenovo and most recently Samsung.

Red Hat and Samsung plan to deliver the next generation of enterprise mobility solutions that draws upon the combined technology of each company. Samsung’s mobile device portfolio will be fused with Red Hat’s open source middleware, mobile and cloud technologies.
