Paul Katigbak, who according to Dell EMC, had stepped in to lead the Canadian business in an interim capacity after Connolly’s move to lead the company’s newly-centralized Medium Business organization, was officially promoted Feb. 19.

Katigbak is a long-time EMCer with 30-plus years of experience in executive roles. According to his LinkedIn profile, he started out as a senior consultant manager for EMC Canada in 2004. CDN has requested an interview with Katigbak to discuss his plans for the role.

Katigbak’s promotion also comes after CDN learned that Deanna Thomson, Dell EMC’s former national director of channel sales for Dell EMC Canada, had retired at the end of January.  As of right now, no replacement has been named. Thomson moved into her role at the end of 2016, prior to the mega merger between Dell and EMC. Connolly replaced Kevin Peesker, who stepped down from his role, July 2017. The two have been significant in Dell EMC’s efforts to push further into the Canadian market.
