Google’s Chromebook officially comes to Canada

If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a Google Chromebook in Canada through official channels, your wait it over – the company announced Tuesday that the Chromebook has come to Canada.

According to Google, Canadians can now pre-order Chromebooks developed by vendors Samsung, Acer and Hewlett-Packard Co. The Samsung model, priced at $269.99, and the Acer model, priced at $249.99, will be available online from Best Buy and Future Shop, and in store in the coming weeks. The HP Pavillion model, priced at $329.99, will be available through HP Canada’s online store.

The devices are designed to deliver an easy computing experience for the novice user and be easy to share, as each person has their Google account with online storage. Each device comes with 100GB of free storage for two years.
