Oki Data brings Apple’s AirPrint to new multifunction printers

Printing and imaging equipment vendor Oki Data Americas says its new MC362w and MC562w color multifunction printers support Apple’s AirPrint technology for wireless printing.

AirPrint allows users to wirelessly print from iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices to Oki’s AirPrint-enabled products with a few clicks.

It’s available on the MC362w and MC562w models, which Oki says combine a powerful feature set with large paper capacity, fast print speeds, duplex printing capabilities, high-definition color technology and a compact design. They’re seen as a good fit for small workgroups.

“As the workforce become increasingly mobile, so too is OKI’s line of office printers and printing solutions,” said Carl Taylor, director of North America marketing at Oki Data Americas, in a statement. “Having AirPrint support for printers in our broad product portfolio provides increased opportunities for our channel partners and improved options for our end users. Oki will continue to augment our mobile printing offerings to drive greater efficiency within the workplace.”
