But according to new data from Statcounter (by way of Royal Pingdom), BlackBerry is growing just as fast as Android in terms of Web usage. In fact, BlackBerry users have doubled their Web presence over the course of the past year.”
3D on your smartphone, sans glasses: it’s coming

Jon Stokes writes why 3D images could soon be coming to a smartphone near you.
“So-called parallax barrier screen designs from Sharp and Master Image, which can deliver a good-looking 3D image without requiring the user to don any kind of special eyewear (i.e., ‘autoscopic 3D’), cost in the neighborhood of $15 to add to a smartphone-sized screen. That’s not a lot of money, given how good the 3D effect is-I saw one in action at the Scaleform booth on the floor of NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference, and it looked very good. These are going to be a hot item when they start hitting the market.”
Office for Mac 2011 available on October 26

“Microsoft on Tuesday said Office for Mac 2011, the latest version of its productivity suite would be available on October 26. I’ve been using Office for Mac 2011 for a little while and have been very impressed so far. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of the Office apps run as fast as they do in Office 2011. The speed increases aren’t limited to a single app or certain functions, either. They are across the board.”
