Apple rethinking its retail strategy?

According to a report, published in MacWorld U.K., reporter Karen Haslem found that Apple Computer is rethinking its retail philosophy, with a focus on revenue and profit, instead of customer satisfaction.

As the Microsoft Canada store puts the finishing touches on its opening at Toronto’s Yorkdale Mall, you have to wonder if Apple Canada might take another look at its approach to retail.

Former Apple insiders have told CDN in previous interviews that the subsidiary’s focus has always been about growing revenues and profit over anything else.

The report was written by IFOAppleStore, an information site for Apple stores worldwide, that claims Tim Cook, Apple CEO posed the question to its retail chief Ron Johnson on who to improve retail revenue and profits.

Johnson was replaced by John Browett shortly after the meeting, according to IFOApplestores.
