AT&T Global Services eyes Alberta’s oil sands, BYOD

The bring your own device (BYOD) trend and the resources boom in Western Canada are among the trends AT&T Global Services is looking to capitalize on, according to its new Canadian leader.

David Aspinall, who was promoted from a sales position with AT&T in the U.S. in December to be the new sales vice-president for AT&T Canada, said companies are looking for help with mobile device management in response to the BYOD trend. He’s also shifting resources to Western Canada to help provide IT services to AT&T customers with operations supporting Alberta’s oil sands.
