Barcode vendor redesigns its Web site for the channel

Wasp Barcode Technologies has updated its Web site: waspbarcode.com to be more video and channel focused.

The new site includes portals to help direct solution providers to content and material specific to channel business. It will also offer more training manuals on newly released product.

The company told CDN that they wanted to improve the overall experience for channel partners who regularly view their Web site. One way Wasp improved the site is by providing descriptive product information, a case study layout, and videos with clear explanations of how each solution will improve a customer’s business. Wasp channel partners will now get a well-defined portal.

Brian Sutter, director of marketing for Wasp, said the layout is cleaner, more user-friendly, easier to navigate, and includes stronger brand reinforcement.  Overall, it’s a better user experience.

“We want our customers and prospects to better understand our solutions and help make their selection process easier.  We made those easier to understand by adding additional videos and enhancing the customer-focused content.”

Recently Wasp unveiled package delivery software called Package Tracker in a Software-as-a-Service. This solution tracks packages from the time they are received from a carrier until they are delivered and signed for by the intended recipient.

According to Wasp, packages and deliveries are often misplaced or lost. This is especially true for companies located in large buildings; businesses and facilities that have many rooms, floors and buildings (educational institutions); or for companies who rent space (hospitality companies).

A recent study found that companies receiving 100 or more packages per day misplace or experience in-house delivery delays with 2.5 per cent of their packages. Wasp’s Package Tracker solution enables users to track when a package is delivered, when the package arrived, who received and signed for it, where the package is located and when it was delivered to the end recipient. All delivery information is stored in a database that all users can easily access in real-time.
