Visual display vendor BenQ America has launched a new display that will bring 4K to classrooms, boardrooms and digital signage applications.
Now shipping is BenQ’s 4K ultra-high-definition (UHD) RP840G flat-panel display. It features an 84” multitouch panel with 10 interactive touch points, multi-PC touch control via USB, and QCast software to share content from any PC or Wi-Fi-enabled smart device.
“Our RP840G multitouch panel was designed to provide an incredible value proposition for today’s connected environments,” said Bob Wudeck, associate vice-president, strategy and business development at BenQ America, in a statement. “By providing 4K UHD resolution and 10 touch points across 84|, the panel allows for presenters to easily interact with any onscreen content. To further increase collaboration, the display lets users pair their handheld devices, bringing audience participation to an entirely new level.”
The 3840×2160 4K UHD display offers up to 300 per cent more working space than other HD displays, and uses low blue light technology and anti-glare glass for more comfortable viewing and reduced image interference, reflection and visual noise.
The RP840G is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS with plug and play capability, and uses BenQ’s QCast software for interaction between presenters and participants. WiFi can be used to allow presenters to send content to the display from anywhere in the room and, for training and education, the DisplayNote teaching software bundle fosters collaborative learning by allowing multiple participants to interact and contribute content from their own devices.
For the IT department, BenQ’s Multiple Display Administrator software allows remote management via LAN panel and supports offsite shutdown of the display when it’s not in use.
The RP840G is now shipping across North America.
