Canadians finish strong in Microsoft’s partner awards

While the hardware won’t be presented until the Worldwide Partner Conference in July in Houston, Microsoft Corp. has announced the winners of its annual Partner of the Year Awards, and Canadian partners are well represented.

The awards honour Microsoft technology partners for delivering innovative solutions that directly address customer challenges, and are chosen from more than 3,000 global nominations from over 100 countries. Among the 44 categories recognized this year are cloud technology, Windows 8, and Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications.

Four Canadian partners are winners this year: Systemgroup for country partner of the year, Dapasoft for application integration, Sherweb Inc. for hosting and Navantis’ Mark AuCoin for top pre-sales specialist. Among the finalists were Navantis for customer relationship management), Systemgroup for humanitarian response citizenship and Itergy for identity and access.

“I’m so proud to see our Canadian partners performing so strongly on a global stage as part of Microsoft’s 2013 Partner of the Year Awards,” said Greg Larnder, national channel sales director for Microsoft Canada. “These results reinforce just how excellent technology partners are at responding to the very unique needs of our Canadian marketplace. Further, these winners showcase true collaboration with Microsoft, building a mutual path to future successes.”
