CDN nominated for three Canadian Online Publishing Awards

Computer Dealer News (CDN) is the voice of Canada’s IT channel community and is known as the most comprehensive source of news, information and opinions of interest to Canadian resellers and solution providers. And now that work is being recognized with three nominations for this year’s Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPAs).

The first nomination is in the category of “Best Overall Online-Only Publication Website.” CDN has been focus on the digital platform for years, growing Canada’s largest archive of channel-related news and video content. And this year, an all-new CDN web site launched, with a new layout and responsive design to provide a great user experience across any platform, whether it be your desktop, tablet or smartphone.

The second nomination is in the category of “Best Blog” for CDN Varbose. It’s the house blog of CDN, where editor Paolo Del Nibletto and assistant editor Jeff Jedras offer insight, analysis and opinion based on their years of experience covering the Canadian IT reseller channel and the technology industry, and share nuggets gleaned from their travels and contacts in the channel community.

Finally, CDN’s third nomination is in the category of “Best Video or Multimedia Feature” for our “14 Canadians in the channel you should follow on Twitter” slideshow. This slideshow, which proved highly popular with the CDN readership, highlighted some of the key Canadians in the channel community, including partners, vendors and analysts, to follow on social media.

“We’re honoured by this recognition, which affirms CDN’s position as Canada’s leader for IT reseller news and insight,” said Del Nibletto. “And we owe this success to our readers. CDN is your voice, and it’s your support that allows us to continue delivering the news and analysis you need to build successful businesses and contribute to the vibrancy of this community.”

CDN’s sister publications IT World Canada, CanadianCIO and ITBusiness.ca were also nomination for several COPAs for their work serving their respective communities. The winners will be announced Nov. 13 in Toronto
