Mississauga, Ont.-based Certicom Corp., a provider of cryptography technology for devices and software, announced Tuesday Karna Gupta as CEO and member of the Board of Directors.
Effective Jan. 21, Gupta will replace interim president and CEO Bernard Crotty, who will remain on the Board.
Prior to his appointment, Gupta was president of Wakefield, Mass.-based Comverse Technologies Inc.’s real-time billing division. He also held executive leadership roles with Montréal-based Bell Canada Enterprises, including vice-president of product development and management.
