Delta and Northwest announce merger, business as usual for now
Wired
Dave Demerjian writes about two U.S. airlines that have recently agreed to merge into a single company.

“Delta and Northwest announced (Sunday) that they plan to merge, creating the world’s largest airline with over 800 planes and $35 billion in annual revenue. The combined carrier will fly under the Delta name, be based at Delta world HQ in Atlanta, and run by the current Delta management. This is cool because Delta’s planes are newer, marginally cleaner, and in the process of getting sleek new paint jobs.”

Mobile Web must die!

Adrian-Kingsley Hughes takes a moment to remember mobile Web browsing startup company, Mowser.

“While it’s sad to see (Mowswer) die, I think that it’s time for the whole concept of mobile web to die. Mobile web is a product of a “think small” mentality. In the early days it was necessary to have that ‘think small’ mentality because the hardware and software of the time just wasn’t up to delivering a full-on web experience on an ultra-portable device. That age is now coming to a close and devices such as the iPhone and iPod touch have shown us that it is possible to have a decent browsing experience on a mobile device.”
