Working together, the two firms will provide world-class, secure, unified networks to mutual customers delivered through the companies’ comprehensive portfolios of high performance Ethernet networking and security (threat management) solutions, according to sources at Extreme Networks.

According to the networking company, the alliance will include joint marketing of secure network solutions, and interoperability testing to support secure network solutions.

“Joint customers will benefit from McAfee’s cloud-based Global Threat Intelligence supported by McAfee’s leading security research experts,” said company sources. “Customers also benefit from being able to manage their security applications through McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator software, a centralized management console to help secure organizations from a vast and ever-growing threat landscape.”
