HP has $2 billion to help your clients get into the cloud

LAS VEGAS – Along with a host of new hardware and software offerings designed to help channel partners bring their clients into the cloud, Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ) now has a focused channel program to help partners go to market with that cloud computing opportunity.

Launched Tuesday at the vendor’s HP Discover user conference in Las Vegas, the CloudAgile partner program offers three tiers and is designed for service providers, telcos and resellers looking to build a cloud business and offer services and value around HP’s cloud infrastructure offerings.

Encompassing HP’s enterprise portfolio of servers, storage, networking, software and services, CloudAgile offers partners closer support from HP’s own direct sales force, go to market support through joint planning and market development funds, and increased access to and support form HP’s technology portfolio and resources.

HP is also budgeting $2 billion through its financing arm worldwide to help customers make the investments necessary to adapt cloud-ready infrastructures.
