HP makes major revisions to ServiceOne program

Dubbed HP ServiceOne 2.0, the new program from HP promises a fast track to the company’s “New Style of IT” business opportunity.

Available immediately, HP ServiceOne 2.0 enables channel partners to gain access to key HP services such as Proactive Care with the possibility to even resell some of them depending on the situation. The key to this new offering is an annuity consumption model called Flexible Capacity. Flexible Capacity provides customers a pay-as-you-go option for on-premise private cloud infrastructure with public cloud. Customers are able to work with channel partners on scaling up for future needs or scaling down.

According to HP, channel partners offering both core infrastructures along with hybrid solutions and cloud-based consumption models will be better positioned with ServiceOne 2.0.

ServiceOne 2.0 will also feature HP Datacenter Care for management of heterogeneous data centre. This will have new automated tools that are designed to reduce quoting time, while improving speed to market for channel partners.

David Twohy, HP’s vice-president of global channel services, said ServiceOne 2.0 builds on a foundation that creates significant opportunities for channel partners. ServiceOne 2.0 helps partners earn more in incremental margin dollars, while expanding relationships with customers and positions them as a trusted advisor.

Additional ServiceOne 2.0 program details are expected later on this year and into 2015.
