HPE launches containerized versions of its ITOM suites

In an effort to stay in step with the desires of the market for a simple and accelerated approach, Hewlett Packard Enterprise is introducing container-based delivery and deployment offering for its IT Operations Management (ITOM) suites.

The ITOM suites includes HPE’s Hybrid Cloud Management, Data Centre Automation, Operations Bridge, and IT Service Management Automation offerings. Each can now be deployed through Docker containers and are ‘built to natively handle container clusters at scale’ to match the speed of DevOps.

The addition of containerization to these offerings essentially covers three bases: speed, compliance, and security. This is done by increasing the speed of delivery and time to resolve incidents, decreases overall downtime, and manage risk during the adoption phase into enterprise production environments.

“Delivering our ITOM suites built on our container and microservice -based architecture provides IT teams a robust set of capabilities to manage IT Operations with the speed, automation, and scale that enhances operational efficiency and agility,” said Tom Goguen, vice president and general manager of HPE IT operations management, in a statement.

The new capabilities of each ITOM offering is as follows:

The container deployment versions of these offerings are currently available, with updates promised by HPE on a quarterly basis.
