HP’s new print management tools not coming to Canada yet

HP

Hewlett-Packard Co. has launched new services and solutions that will help partners manage and maintain their customer’s printer fleets, but they won’t be available in Canada just yet.

The new offerings are targeted and the small and medium-sized business segment, and are designed to automate processes around fleet management and supply replenishment so SMBs can spend more time focusing on core business activities.

“Regardless of the size and make up of an organization, effective print management is integral to help ensure costs are kept in line and employee productivity is at its highest,” said Pradeep Jotwani, senior vice-president, LaserJet and enterprise solutions with HP, in a statement. “With today’s expansion of HP’s services and solutions offerings, HP provides better ways to reduce costs, increase productivity and improve efficiencies by automating the management and optimization of print environments.”

To simplify the ordering and delivery of new ink and toner cartridges, HP has created HP SureSupply Express to allow businesses to easily purchase new original HP cartridges from their preferred channel partner. Designed for businesses with up to 10 HP devices, customers can order new cartridges with one touch from the app via their Android or iOS smartphone or tablet.

For businesses that are a bit larger, with 10 or more printers in their shop – including non-HP devices – HP has launched HP SureSupply Auto-Delivery. Customers can either approve each order or enable automatic ink and toner cartridge replenishment, again directly from their preferred channel partner. The online portal also allows them to monitor the status of the different devices they manage.

The new solutions will initially be available in the U.S., with HP telling CDN not to expect them in Canada until 2015.
