IBM is opening a new Watson Health global headquarters in Cambridge, Mass. and has announced it is bringing on Deborah DiSanzo as the business unit’s general manager.

The company is also introducing new cloud services (through) several new partnerships.

DiSanzo brings to IBM nearly two decades of experience in healthcare technology, with her most recent role as executive vice president and chief executive officer at Philips Healthcare.

Her new responsibilities will involve scaling the business globally, and overseeing Watson Health Cloud as well as work with partners such as Johnson & Johnson, Apple, Medtronic, Epic, and CVS Health. She will report to IBM Watson Group leader Michael Rhodin.

Big blue also announced two new solutions.

The Watson Health Cloud for Life Sciences Compliance is designed to help biomedical companies fast-track the deployment of a GxP compliant infrastructure and applications while complying hosting, accessing and sharing data sharing regulations.

Watson Care Manager is a solution aimed at public health. It integrates Watson Health and Apple’s HealthKit and ResearchKit, a platform for conducting studies using an iPhone, to allow medical professionals to create personalized patient programs.
