Shane Schick comments on what Microsoft’s recent bid on Yahoo! actually means.

“What would Yahoo really offer Microsoft that it doesn’t do already? Both can do search, and you could argue Flickr brings some interesting intellectual property, but a takeover might simply represent a way for Microsoft to gain marketshare in the online ad space more quickly than it could otherwise. The other thing Yahoo! might offer is Pipes, its do-it-yourself feed aggregator which may be its crowning innovation to date.”

Don’t put blame on computer hackers, Chikt writes. Instead, the onus lies on you.

“Hackers are only succesful when they are able to infect our machines. Do we blame Google? Do we blame the hackers? No. We must look no farther than the refelction in our pc monitors to lay blame. Its our own faults. There are patches to fix vulnerabilities being exploited by these infected web sites. It isnt Googles fault we surf with poorly patched machines.”
