Distributor Ingram Micro Canada has announced new configuration to order (CTO) services built around networking vendor Cisco Systems’ suite of collaboration solutions.
The CTO services are designed to expedite deployment, reduce implementation costs and drive sales of Cisco collaboration solutions, such as the Cisco Business Edition 6000, for Ingram partners. The program is available now through Ingram Micro Canada’s Cisco business unit, and aims to allow partners to deploy Cisco solutions right out of the box.
“Ingram Micro continues to build upon its ability to provide greater value to our reseller partners and help them increase the speed and efficiency with which they do business,” says Dave Mason, executive director, sales, Ingram Micro Canada, in a statement. “By providing these new Cisco CTO services to our mutual partners, we’re positioning them to gain a clear competitive advantage in the market and take their collaboration business to the next level.
One element of the CTO service is a portal through which partners can choose the applications they want pre-installed on an end customer’s server and enter details on the customer’s end user network environment. Each server is configured with the information and updated with the most current Cisco software. The configuration work will be carried out at Ingram’s 25,000 square-foot configuration centre in Mississauga, Ont. by Cisco-authorized technicians.
