Ingram Micro Inc.’s has begun transitioning the Nimax division’s name to Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division.
The new Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division will maintain the division’s brand promise of “One Source. Complete Solutions,” the distrbutor said, and continue to operate as a separate division focused on delivering value-added products and services. Details surrounding the name change will be unveiled to solution providers and manufacturer partners at the division’s third annual Partner Invitational this week in Las Vegas.
John Soumbasakis, vice-president and general manager of Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division said our new name reflects the positive business transformation Nimax has undergone in the past two years since being acquired by Ingram Micro and defines the area of expertise and focus of the division.
He added that the division is a global distribution partner that specializes in data capture and POS technologies and delivers adjacent technologies to provide complete end-to-end solutions, services and support. No other data capture or POS distributor has the global presence, capabilities, and relationships to offer that value and convenience to the IT channel.
As part of its new brand identity, the division’s Web site address will transition from www.nimax.com to www.ingrammicro-dcpos.com. The Web site will also be updated with new features and functionality.
