Lenovo names David Roman as its new chief marketing officer

Lenovo announced this week that David Roman will join the company as its new senior vice-president and chief marketing officer.

Roman comes to Lenovo most recently from a job at HP, where he served as the vice-president of worldwide marketing communications for the Personal Systems Group.

In his new post at Lenovo, Roman will report to Rory Read, president and chief operating officer of Lenovo.

Prior to his role with HP, Roman also worked at Nvidia and held several leadership roles at Apple Computers.

“David brings to Lenovo outstanding experience in the PC sector, a strong background inbuilding brands and driving demand, and a vision for breakthrough creative marketing that will fuel our growth in the global commercial and consumer technology market,” Yuanqing Yang, CEO of Lenovo, said.
