Is Fujitsu spinning out of the hard drive business?

Chris Mellor explores a rumour in which Fujitsu is thought to be getting out of the hard disk drive business by selling it to Western Digital for $662-$945.5 million.
“ Fujitsu issued a statement today, saying: ‘There was an article in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper today regarding Fujitsu’s hard disk drive business. This article is not based on information released by Fujitsu. At the current time, there is no factual basis for this media report.’”
Apple hears developers, nixes iPhone NDA

Scott Loganbill writes that iPhone developers can now discuss the iPhone’s OS, application code and development kit, in addition to their own applications, according to a statement released on Apple’s Web site.
“Prior to Wednesday, Apple required developers to digitally agree to an NDA upon download of the company’s iPhone developer tools. The agreement legally restricted developers from talking about their applications, how they made them or details of iPhone technology. According to Apple’s announcement, the NDA was in place simply to prevent other companies from stealing Apple’s work. The NDA was removed because it ‘… has created too much of a burden on developers, authors and others interested in helping further the iPhone’s success.’”
