MSI Wind NetOn AP1900 takes on Asus EeeTop

MSI Thursday announced the Wind NetOn AP1900 in AIO (All in One) family. The press release claims the AP1900 is the world’s slimmest AIO PC design with a width of just 35mm. AP1900 has a 160 degrees wide visual experience. The AP1900 is equipped with the Intel Atom CPU which reduces power consumption and offers enough performance for everyday computing.

The AP1900 UV glossy coating on the inside of the screen for additional brightness and an elegant appearance. It is also designed to evaporate heat to keep the insides cooler.The AP1900 can be adjusted back and forth from 5° to 15° depending on the need. The VESA standard wall mount allows for secure mounting almost anywhere to maximize space on your desk. The display has a 5ms Response Time, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 250 cd/㎡brightness. 802.11 b/g wireless connectivity is an option. The AP1900 only needs 35 watts of power while running and MSI claims it saves up to 86%* of power compared to other traditional PC, achieving the perfect balance between efficiency and power usage.

The operating noise is less than 26 decibels, which is equivalent to the surroundings of a library. The embedded 1.3MP webcam with dual track quality microphone, along with 2 sets of 3 watts realistic speakers help it to be a PC for conducting conferences. The AP1900 also provides an all-in-one card reader function and a multi-DVD burner. It comes with Windows XP Home edition.

Other specifications are a 2GB RAM and Intel GMA950 video controller, gigabit LAN, three USB ports, 160GB hard disk and it weighs 4kg.

It is priced at US$819.
