MSP Alliance launches educational initiative

The MSPAlliance, the International Association of Managed Service Providers, is launching a new educational program to help companies of all sizes learn about the managed services industry.

The program will be delivered initially through the Managed Services Institute, with possible expansion to other non-MSPAlliance educational venues at a later date.

The program is being backed by both MSP and vendor companies who will contribute educational content and expertise on a wide variety of managed services practice areas. Some of companies that will be participating in the program are: Intel, Altoria Solutions, SilverBack, N-able, Autotask, RSA Security, Nimsoft, ConnectWise, Privacy Networks, Xerox, Raritan, Symantec, and Astaro.

The educational program will play an integral role in preparing companies for the Managed Services Accreditation Exam. In addition, companies who have already been accredited will soon be able to take Continuing Managed Services Education (CMSE) courses in order to maintain their accreditation status.

Charles Weaver, president of MSP Alliance, said education has always been the focal point of any professional body. The sharp increase in consumer demand for educated, qualified, and accredited MSPs is only going to continue. This program will help meet that demand.
