MspPortal accepting proposals for hosted anti-spam project

MspPortal.Net, a Managed Service Provider for ISPs, MSPs, resellers and VARs, announced that it is now accepting proposals for a cloud-based Anti-spam service providers to support more than 850 managed domains with 10,000 to 100,000 mailboxes.

MspPortal.net provides hosted Anti-spam solutions to more than 500 resellers worldwide, allowing them manage all their customers from a single location.

“As a result of an impasse in contract negotiations regarding pricing and terms with our existing partner, we have come to the unfortunate decision to switch Antispam providers,” said Roy Miehe, founder and president of MspPortal.net. “While in the past switching IT and security partners would be a major event, today’s cloud-based technologies make it much easier for both the service provider and the end-user. We look forward to having an effective Antispam solution in place quickly for our thousands of customers.”

MspPortal.net is currently in the process of developing a hosted email business, and the relationship with an anti-spam provider is critical to ensuring the reliability and security of its offerings.

Miehe added, “As we will be competing against the Googles and Microsofts of the world in the hosted mail environment, we must have a solid email filtering partner that is strong on the security side as well, in addition to offering flexibility to the reseller community.”

Requirements for MspPortal.net Antispam partner include:

Redundant NOCS globally preferably with large hosting facilities such as RackSpace, GFI Dedicated IPs for filtering in and out messages.

Encryption for clients as add-on option.

Spam reports daily Web interface for provisioning.
