NetApp names another Star partner to its VIP Program

Earlier this month, Long View Systems, an IT services and solutions organization with Canadian headquarters in Calgary, Alta. and in the U.S., Denver, Colo., was promoted to the Star partner level in NetApp’s VIP Program.

NetApp, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based storage and data management solution vendor, has its VIP Program available to all of its channel partners. The program is comprised of four tiers, Star, Platinum, Gold and Silver.

In order for Long View Systems to achieve NetApp’s Star status, the company had to demonstrate a high level of revenue achievement, in addition to committing to customer success. In return, the company receives training and certification on NetApp products and technologies for independent selling. They also receive ongoing support from NetApp.

Leonard Iventosch, vice-president of worldwide channels at NetApp, said partners who take part in NetApp’s channel program will also see additional opportunities open up.

“By investing in our channel program and, more importantly, in our partners, we are creating additional opportunities for our most trusted partners to be more engaged with customers to solve their data centre needs,” Iventosch said.

Dan Sottile, senior vice-president of North American sales, marketing and business development at Long View Systems, said the partnership with NetApp brings together two complementary companies.

“Long View and NetApp are terrific partners,” he said. “We have similar corporate cultures and a history of innovation together. Long View is product to represent and deliver NetApp storage solutions to our customers and we look forward to many more years of continued success together.”
