Cisco Subnet gives details about a new blade from Cisco, as reported by Jim Duffy, of Network World.

“The blade is expected to be launched next year and will compete with products from IBM, HP and Dell. It is codenamed California Server, and it is understood to be internally developed based on Intel x86 processors and a Linux operating system. Other Cisco-specific twists will be an embedded Nexus 5000 data center switch, report Duffy.”
