New series of application acceleration switches

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A10 Networks today announced general availability for its AX Series application acceleration switch.

Tuned for multiple CPUs, the AX Series helps enterprises and ISPs maximize application availability through a high-performance and scalable application delivery platform.

With its Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS), the company said the AX Series is capable of accelerating high volume and bandwidth intensive network applications such as voice, video and data, during peak usage conditions – today and in the future.

“A10 Networks’ AX Series is the industry’s best performing application acceleration switch with an optimized multi-CPU architecture that is exponentially faster than other systems on the market today,” said Lee Chen, founder and CEO of A10 Networks.

“With the AX’s performance, rich features and management tools, network administrators can now solve application traffic problems quicker and resolve performance bottlenecks before they occur.”

The AX Series includes;

–aRule policy editor for customization of features;

–hardware-based SSL acceleration;

–supports for IPv4 and IPv6;

–carrier-grade hardware components;

The AX Series is available immediately in four different models: the AX 2000 for enterprises; and the AX 2200, AX 3100 and AX 3200 for enterprises and ISPs. Integrated 10-Gig support is included in the AX 3100 and AX 3200 models.
