Dating 2.0 picks up speed

Jenna Wortham writes of the increasing popularity of online dating Web sites that have been spawned since the Web 2.0 phenomenon.
“Researchers say virtual dating could boost matchmaking potential, since video daters know instantaneously if they have that elusive chemistry. ‘Within a minute, you know if a person is funny or not, if you two click or not, thanks to social clues like body language,’ says Michael Norton, an assistant professor at Harvard Business School.”
Without competition from AMD, Intel starts to put the brakes on releases

“The three delayed processors are the Core 2 Quad Q9300, Q9450 and Q9550 units. Without competition from AMD, Intel have decided to hold back these processors for the time being so that their releases won’t damage 65nm quad-core sales.”

“Apple and Think Secret have settled their lawsuit, reaching an agreement that results in a positive solution for both sides. As part of the confidential settlement…Think Secret will no longer be published. Nick Ciarelli, Think Secret’s publisher, said ‘I’m pleased to have reached this amicable settlement, and will now be able to move forward with my college studies and broader journalistic pursuits.’”
