Vancouver’s Peer 1 Hosting has announced a strategic alliance with Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions to offer Canadian companies PEER 1 Hosting’s global hosting solutions through Arrow ECS’s network of channel resellers.
“Adding Arrow to Peer 1 Hosting’s Smart Partner Program will help us better deliver Infrastructure-as-a-Service to Canadian companies,” said Mike Mayer, executive director of worldwide channel for Peer 1, in a statement. “Our partnership with Arrow will allow customers to access our world-class hosting services such as managed hosting, colocation and cloud, while maintaining relationships with vendors they already know and trust.”
Arrow ECS said providing its Canadian partners with a Canadian-based hosting provider was of increasing importance for a number of reasons, including the need to adhere to regional privacy laws, as well as search engine optimization.
“Our Canadian customers have been asking for a Canadian-based hosting provider to support their business needs,” said Robert Boulet, vice-president and general manager of Arrow ECS in Canada, in a statement. “Working with PEER 1 Hosting means we are now able to offer these customers local hosting solutions that are equipped to also support their operations in the United States and Europe.”
