Printing and managed services come together

SolutionOne, a document and content management software provider, announced an agreement with managed services provider Continuum to be the exclusive software and services partner for the company.

This is one of the first partnerships to involve a print or document vendor with a managed services provider and will create an all-in-one source for office technology needs, while helping SolutionOne respond to a growing end-user preference toward consumption of technology services through an on-demand, pay-per-use billing method.

The dealership, in operation for more than 75 years, moved to a managed services delivery model is its latest evolution and signifies a deeper and broader engagement between office dealers and small-to-mid-sized businesses (SMBs), the company said.

SolutionOne President John Kuchta said the company needs to do a better all-around job supporting customers than other IT vendors. Continuum was chosen because they are the only provider that delivers comprehensive Remote Monitor & Management (RMM) automation, an industry-leading network operations center (NOC) and a 24/7 Service Desk – all integrated in a powerful platform, which optimizes our IT service delivery that is not possible with other managed services offerings.

SolutionOne is also leveraging Continuum’s managed services platform and the office technology business expertise of Growth Achievement Partners (GAP), who joined forces to develop a new Managed Services Business Model designed specifically for office technology dealerships. The model provides a blueprint dealers can leverage to capitalize on lucrative trends toward off-site management, HaaS (hardware as a service) and cloud-based offerings.
