The Toronto suburb of Mississauga, Ont., will be the new Canadian home of TmaxSoft Inc., a Seoul, South Korean-based infrastructure software vendor.
TmaxSoft solutions aim to modernize data to the cloud for use in applications and in data analysis. The company specializes in legacy modernization, middleware, database and infrastructure software solutions focused on sectors such as financial services, retail, Government, utilities, and telecommunications.
TmaxSoft has an open channel partner program where they offer solution providers and system integrators discounts, training and support, joint marketing and promotions along with lead sharing opportunities.
The company has named former IBM Software executive Satya Sarangi its first ever CEO and president of TmaxSoft Canada. Sarangi was also an executive at Intel in his career.
Sarangi, who has been working for TmaxSoft for a year before this announcement, said as the company began its expansion plans the Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area was identified as the ideal location for the Canadian headquarters as the city contains an impressive pool of technology talent, globally-respected innovation hubs and some of Canada’s largest and most cutting-edge organizations.
In the last four months, TmaxSoft has opened offices in San Francisco and Chicago, while appointing former HP executive Joshua Yulish as its CEO of president of the U.S. operation, Ed Franklin to the post of vice president of global marketing and Songmin Andy Kim to executive vice president of global sales.
TmaxSoft also has bases in 12 other countries including the U.S., U.K. Brazil, Russia, Japan and India.
The company was established in 1997 and its flagship product Tmax is a middleware that facilitates and oversees transaction processing in distributed systems that consist of multiple machines. It also has a database called Tibero.
TmaxSoft was separated into two operations that include TmaxData run as an affiliate business.
