StarTech displays LCD consoles for KVM

Groveport, Ohio – StarTech.com has brought out three new DuraView LCD Rack-mountable Consoles, designed to secure control of connected KVM switches and servers, while maximizing space-efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

They feature a mechanical key lock designed to prevent unauthorized users from gaining control over connected servers and KVM switches, and are configurable with virtually any existing server or KVM Switch.

The company says they are priced nearly 40 per cent less than competitive models.Requiring only 1U of space in any rack or cabinet 30” or more in depth, the consoles provide an LCD display, as well as keyboard and mouse controls, for discreet, centralized control of connected devices.

The consoles also feature a rugged, notebook form factor design that slides smoothly on two durable steel rails that provides users with easy access and a stable operating platform for server and KVM administration.

“These consoles are intended to provide customers with a highly-secure, cost-effective alternative to similar products currently available on the IT market”, said Aaron Thibert, StarTech.com’s product manager. “Overall, these consoles provide exceptional value – a professional-quality product, at prices that are considered ‘entry-level’ elsewhere, with no compromise on materials or design”.

The DuraView product line is comprised of three models, distinguishable by LCD monitor sizes including 15”, 17” and 19” displays. They are distributed by Ingram Micro, Tech Data and Synnex.
