Tech Data has become the one and only distributor for Cohesity in the U.S. and Canada.
The Cohesity portfolio is a big win for the distributor giant, according to Tech Data vice-president of data and networking solutions, Cheryl Neal, noting Cohesity’s hyperconverged secondary storage solutions are something Tech Data customers have been asking for.
“Our customers have seen the benefits of hyperconvergence for their primary applications and data, and now are demanding these types of solutions on the secondary side, which comprises the vast majority of data and apps within today’s organizations,” she said. “Cohesity’s offerings will help organizations save time and resources while extracting maximum value from their data.”
Converged secondary storage platforms combine important processes and eliminate the need for multiple data protection products. The decision to sign on a distributor in North America was made after the company experienced significant growth in recent years, Keith Macove, Cohesity’s senior director of North America channel sales, wrote in a blog post.
“We’ve reached a level of growth where we need to partner with companies that have an excellent reputation in the industry and will help us scale while continuing to provide the highest levels of service to our partners and customers,” he explained, emphasizing that the company’s focus on the channel will remain consistent. “Partners allow us to uphold our commitment to serving our most precious commodity because they help us meet customer needs quickly and effectively.”
