“It’s been a good year for Android-based smartphones: their worldwide sales are up 1,309 per cent, year-on-year, according to research outfit Canalys. ‘With Samsung, HTC, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson all delivering large numbers of Android devices, and with focused efforts from many other vendors, such as LG, Huawei and Acer, yielding promising volumes, the platform continues to gather momentum in markets around the world,’ Canalys analyst Pete Cunningham said in a report released on Monday .”

Enterprises Want Broad Functionality for Mobile Device Security

“Make sure you or the MSP have administrative tools assisting the implementation from Day 0, Conduct a pre-deployment test. Run simulated traffic prior to implementation to ensure the WAN is properly sized to handle new real-time applications. You may need to add more bandwidth, for example or adjust application optimization settings, Validate that the LAN has Power Over Ethernet, and that LAN switches will are appropriate for the functions of the UC applications you plan to deploy (and) Consider Application Delivery Optimization tools to help improve performance of applications by reducing latency and compressing traffic.”
